“The Studio” is the choice for you if you are looking to build a minimal backyard cottage to rent out to a couple or single occupant or to have overnight guests stay.

A large living space opens out to a deck, and a built-in, floor-to-ceiling storage element serves double duty as a ladder to access the sleeping loft and as plenty of storage to accommodate small living. Skylights and large sliding glass doors along the facade make this small studio feel spacious and bright.

The open plan and single glazed facade allow for favorable solar orientation and privacy in relation to the main house.
